Johnathan Goree MD is an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology with Tenure at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences where he is the Director of the Chronic Pain Division, Program Director of the Pain Medicine Fellowship, and Chair of the Opioid Stewardship Program. Dr. Goree attended medical school and completed anesthesiology residency at Cornell University in New York, NY. He then subspecialized in Chronic Pain Medicine at Emory University in Atlanta, GA.

He is an international lecturer about the US response to the opioid epidemic. His research interests include the effects of opioid education, implementation science, and the effects of racial disparities in pain care.

Wim van den Brink (Hilversum, 1952) studeerde geneeskunde aan de Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam waar hij in augustus 1981 zijn artsdiploma behaalde. Hij studeerde psychiatrische epidemiologie in New York en Groningen en in november 1989 promoveerde hij in Groningen op een proefschrift over de diagnostiek van persoonlijk-heidsstoornissen.

Van 1992 tot 2018 was hij als hoogleraar Verslavingszorg verbonden aan het AMC bij de Universiteit van Amsterdam. In deze periode was hij als (co)auteur betrokken bij meer dan 600 wetenschappelijke publicaties (HI WoS=77; HI Google Scholar=107) en werden onder zijn begeleiding meer dan 75 proefschriften geschreven. In die periode was hij voorzitter en lid van diverse richtlijncommissies binnen de psychiatrie en de verslavingszorg, was hij voorzitter van de wetenschappelijke commissie van de European College of Neuropsychopharmacology (ECNP) en president van de International Collaboration of ADHD and Substance Abuse (ICASA). Daarnaast was hij redacteur van Drug and Alcohol Depenced (DAD) en hoofdredacteur van European Addiction Research (EAR).

Sinds april 2018 is hij met emeritaat. Op dit moment is hij onder andere voorzitter Kwaliteitsraad Akwa GGZ bestuursvoorzitter van Mainline, voorzitter Raad van Toezicht NB-DGT en voorzitter van de ZonMW commissie vluchtelingen.

Bea Hemmen (Amsterdam, 1961) ) studeerde geneeskunde aan de Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam waar zij in 1987 haar artsdiploma behaalde. Zij promoveerde op een proefschrift over 'Cellular and Molecular Aspects of Articular Cartilage Resurfacing' aan University College London, Groot-Brittannië. SInds 2002 werkzaam als revalidatiearts/senior onderzoeker Maastricht UMC en sinds 2017 ook in Zuyderland, locatie Heerlen, gedetacheerd vanuit Adelante (voorheen Hoensbroek Revalidatie Centrum), met als aandachtsgebied IC revalidatie, orthopaedie, traumatologie en amputatie. (Co) auteur van meer dan 40 publicaties.

Sinds 2020 betrokken bij de behandeling van en het onderzoek naar de revalidatie van patienten met COVID-19, zowel klinisch als poliklinisch. Daarnaast is zij voorzitter van Werkgroep 'Revalidatie van patiënten met het Post Intensive Care Syndroom', lid van IC-expertgroep Family and patient Centred Intensive care (FCIC), lid Development Group for fractures, World Health Organization Rehabilitation Programme en lid van de commissie Goed Gebruik Hulpmiddelenzorg thuis, ZON MW.

I am professor in Ethics, Philosophy and Medical Philosophy at Ghent University. Next to that, I'm author of more than twenty books, I write biweekly opinion articles for a newspaper and I'm an enthousiastic speaker in my area of expertise.

Since quite a few years, I also offer ethical advice and consultancy to business partners: ethical codes, writing of a mission statement, ethical trainings etc.

Arno Akkermans is director of the Amsterdam Law and Behavior Institute (A-LAB) and of the Amsterdam Centre for Comprehensive Law (ACCL). Within A-LAB several faculties of the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and the Netherlands Insitute for the Study of Crime and Law Enforcement (NSCR) join forces in conducting interdisciplinary research in the field of law and behavior. Its mission is to contribute with its research to the improvement of the performance of the legal system in meeting a wider spectrum of human needs and motivations than traditionally are the focus of law and the legal discipline, such as justice, acknowledgement, validation, involvement, ‘voice’, restoration, apology and forgiveness.

Arno Akkermans (1958) graduated from the faculty of law of Tilburg University (cum laude) and obtained his doctorate at the same university (cum laude). Until his appointment as professor of civil law at the VU University in 1999 he worked as an attorney in the field of liability and insurance. His research focus is on the impact of law and legal procedure on the wellbeing and health of individuals, in the context of civil procedure in general and of the settlement of personal injury claims in particular. Arno works with multidisciplinary research teams and cooperates with colleagues at the Faculty of Psychology and at the VU University medical centre (VUmc). He is a fellow of the European Centre of Tort and Insurance Law in Vienna (ECTIL), member of the board of the Netherlands Comparative Law Association (NVVR), and co-founder and member of the steering committee of the International Network on Law and Apology Research (INLAR).

Annemarieke Fleming (1974) is auteur van bestseller Pijn & het brein (Prometheus, 2016, 14e druk 2021), in begrijpelijke taal geschreven voor mensen met chronische pijn. Zij is parttime werkzaam als gezondheidszorgpsycholoog met twintig jaar ervaring in multidisciplinaire revalidatiesettings. Annemarieke is daarnaast hoofddocent Psyche & Soma en jaargroepopleider bij RINO Amsterdam, postdoctorale nascholing voor psychologen, en cursusleider / thema-expert bij het Nederlands Paramedisch Instituut. Zij is CRBKO-geregistreerd docent en spreker en geeft regelmatig webinars, lezingen en workshops in binnen- en buitenland.

Oswald Nunes (1958) is sinds 1986 advocaat. Vrijwel zijn gehele carrière is hij actief op het terrein van het gezondheidsrecht, met medische aansprakelijkheid als specialisme. Als advocaat loodst hij beroepsbeoefenaren en instellingen in de zorg door tuchtzaken, civiele kwesties en strafzaken. Oswald is onder meer lid van de Vereniging van Letselschade Advocaten (LSA), redacteur van het tijdschrift Rechtspraak Aansprakelijkheids- en verzekerinsgrecht (RAV) en auteur van het boek Tot perstistit!, verzamelde blogs van een defense lawyer in het gezondheidsrecht (Boom Uitgevers, 2021).

Dr. Eubanks is Academic Chief Resident in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) in Pittsburgh, PA. Alex is Professor (Research) and Director of the Insurance Work and Health Group in the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. He conducts applied research in workers' compensation, life insurance, social welfare and injury compensation within Australia and internationally.

Alex leads a number of large data analytics research projects that use and extend insurance claims data to develop new insights, support evidence-informed decision making, and to improve individual and public health. He provides technical and policy advice to government and private sector organisations.
